Tennessee Voters for Animal Protection (TVAP) is a grassroots, all-volunteer, non-partisan political action committee (PAC) dedicated to electing Tennessee candidates based on their support and promotion of animal welfare legislation. We were founded in 2010 under our previous name, Humane Tennessee PAC.
We educate the general public and lawmakers on legislation affecting animals and also endorse humane-minded candidates. We seek to gain greater protection for animal protection issues by unifying supporters and creating an identifiable, powerful voting bloc. We raise money from concerned citizens from all over the state to donate to various political campaigns and organize activists to volunteer on the campaigns of humane-minded candidates.
Our website is full of information on our PAC, legislation affecting animals in Tennessee, and how you can get involved. We've also provided a link to our 2014 Legislative Report and Scorecard.

We believe that the best path to the enactment of effective laws is through a humane voting bloc of informed and concerned citizens who will use their vote to insist that Tennessee become a more animal-friendly state. Rescue organizations, animal control, and shelters have been operating for years doing courageous, compassionate, and vital work, yet pet overpopulation, neglect, and abuse continue to persist.
The animals have no voice in the political process, and they count on us to speak for them. Please join Tennessee Voters for Animal Protection and participate in the effort to elect humane-minded candidates to office so we can enact laws to protect animals from cruelty. We’re asking that all Tennesseans who care about animals join in our efforts by getting politically involved!
